Tom O' Neill, of Marist High School, was named "The Kevin Kennelly Sportsmanship Award" for his efforts in The 2011 Windy City Classic. The sportsmanship award was named in honor of Kevin Kennelly, a Mt. Carmel soccer player, who passed away this past summer.
Marist Head Coach Sean Maxwell praised O'Neill's efforts in the tournament stating, " Tom works hard in each game, respects his opponents, and is a fine example to all athletes on how to carry themselves on and off the field!"
Tom will be honored prior to The Chicago Fire match on September 17th at Toyota Park.
